HE grew up in hard times in his native Country of Jamaica. Son of a well- known Indian Jamaican Chef, trained in Chinese Jamaican Cuisine, and Jamaican/ bajan mother, creating dishes from the earth provisions available came natural. Upon his arrival in the U.S. , hard work, determination and his philosophy of making something out of nothing created a long road of success as Restaurantuer/Chef and Successful Business man.
SHE spent the majority of her life abroad; Born in Bremerhaven Germany but raised in her mother’s native country of the Philippines and living everywhere in between. A boutique Owner, Clothing Designer and former wardrobe stylist and model; Her career has gone from fashion to food. Talk about a cultural mix! Most would think WAR at first thought, but these two seem to have mastered the Husband/wife Business Module.
Chef Chris & His wife Vivian are true partners in life, beating the odds on every platform and climbing the path of success hand and hand. Together this Husband and wife duo birthed a New Concept to Jamaican Cuisine focusing on the Beautiful mingling of cultures that flow through the Island of Jamaica.
Much like many world renowned Chefs such as Tom Colicchio and Heston Blumenthal, to name a few; Chef Chris is fully self-taught in his art and skill never attending a single culinary course.
Chef Chris carefully created a menu fitted for all types of palettes, reinventing Island Favorites with his signature sauces and recipes made from scratch; authentically seasoned and prepared with Jamaica’s bold spices and traditional techniques and stirred up with all its international cultures.
Fluent in Many styles of cooking including Chinese, Indian, fusion and Caribbean, Chef Chris AKA the “Sauce Master”, continues to serve and present Authentic Jamaican Cuisine tantalizing palettes with his famed Brown Stew Gravy, Homemade Jerk sauce and Juicy Stewed Oxtail to name a few. Some of his fan fave starters include his signature Curry & Jerk Rolls and sweet Honey Garlic wings. With plans to release his bottled sauces & Natural Juices to local groceries in the near future, Chef Chris is just getting started.
